“Now it’s dark…”

December 19, 2006 @ 10:30 pm

It’s been a couple of months since I’ve posted anything and, as tempted as I am to write a detailed update on everything, it’s time I let this blog go dark for a while, unplug from the world and resume camp in the Pit. It’s time the third novel and I had a serious one on one.

Part of what’s kept this site changing has been the graphic novel rendition of the Contortionist’s Handbook by Gabor Kiss. Now that his final pages have been posted, there’s little reason for me to return here until I have something else to say. A couple of news bits before I go quiet for a while. First, a new version of Dermaphoria is slated for February ‘07 release in the U.K. from Harper-Perennial, which includes an interview with yours truly and an afterword touching on the genesis of the story. Second, the film rights to the Contortionist’s Handbook are back on the market after a three years. So if you’re interested in filming it, give my agent a call. As for Dermaphoria, the film rights for that story were recently optioned by an independent house in Los Angeles. Details for that last bit of news are forthcoming, and I’ll post them here once they’ve come forth.

Gabor, thanks for all your hard work.

I gotta go… stay warm and bound.
